The Mind Over Mandarin Chinese Immersion Program provides you with a comprehensive study abroad package. Our program consists of 3 separate sessions in line with the semester programs at Shenzhen University, Spring, Fall, as well as a shorter 4-week summer program. Each program session includes the following services: Enrollment in Chinese language courses at the prestigious Shenzhen University, arrangement of accommodations for the entire period of your stay, health insurance for the duration of your stay, entry into our exclusive networking, language, and cultural exchange events, as well as a survival kit to ease your transition and help you make the most of your time abroad in China.

Enrollment at Shenzhen University – Top Rated Language and Cultural Studies
M.O.M will walk you through the process of enrolling Shenzhen University and conveniently eliminates many steps that would otherwise be time consuming and aggravating for you to deal with yourself. Representing your interests on the ground in Shenzhen with expertise in University processes as well as the Chinese language and culture we can ensure you a smooth entry process.
International students study a complete curriculum of simplified Chinese reading and writing, and practice Mandarin listening and speaking. At the beginning of semester, students take a proficiency test for appropriate placement level – Introductory, Elementary, Intermediate, Advanced.
Language courses at SZU are held from 8:30AM to 12 Noon, Monday through Friday, except Chinese holidays. Optional cultural classes are held from 2:30pm to 4pm, Monday through Thursday. HSK exam preparation tutelage is offered as an optional extra-curricular class from 2:30 PM to 4 PM on Thursdays.
At the end of each semester, students graduate with a Certificate of Completion. Academic credit may be transferable for students who attend at least 70% of classes and earn passing grades on exams. Accomodations Abroad – The Comfort of Home Conveniently Located
M.O.M provides you with housing arrangements not available to any other students that attend the university. Our off campus housing provides fully furnished, spacious apartments that include all the essentials your familiar with in the western world. You’ll sacrifice no comfort your accustomed to in the western world while living in Shenzhen. Your accommodations are conveniently located just minutes from local supermarkets and convenience stores as well as the Metro which connects all of Shenzhen quickly and efficiently. For your safety and peace of mind, 24-hour security and CCTV monitoring are installed in all buildings. Additionally, you may opt for a maid-cleaning service that entails a weekly visit from a friendly cleaning lady that will tidy up your space and manage most household chores for you.
As all standard units are dual occupancy M.O.M always encourages you to sign up with a friend in order to share your experience with a supportive and familiar person whilst on your journey. Travel Health Insurance – Peace of Mind Abroad
MindOverMandarin provides you with comprehensive health insurance to ensure peace of mind while venturing abroad. We have partnered with iNext to provide the following coverage including travel incidences, basic medical coverage, and basic dental coverage: includes travel incidences and basic medical and dental coverage:

M.O.M’s Helping Hands – Survival Kit, Local Guide, Networking and Language Events
M.O.M welcomes you to, and guides you throughout your experience in Southern China. Your local M.O.M. Guides will show you around town, invite you to organized events, introduce you to international professionals or vocational exposures, present opportunities for community service, and offer you advice on how to maximize your immersion experience. M.O.M. hosting Guides are your source for advice on how to become locally street-smart.
